What is a Profile?
A Profile defines a collection of settings and permissions that determines what users can see in the user interface, and what they can do.
What is a Role?
Roles determine your position in the role hierarchy.
What features control record sharing?
OWD, role hierarchy and sharing rules.
What can be done on an object’s page layout?
Make fields read-only, make fields required, and change columns and sort order of related lists.
How can you share Reports and Dashboards?
Through folders
What can Field Level Security do?
It can be set to Read-only by profile and if a field is hidden, it does not appear in page layouts, search results, related lists, list views or reports.
What are the steps for setting up Web-to-Lead?
Map lead fields, create an assignment rule and create an auto-response rule.
How do Auto-Response Rules work?
They are designed to provide an initial response to the person who create a case of submitted a web-to-lead form.
What are the differences between Data Import Wizard and Data Loader?
Triggering workflow rules is optional when using the Import Wizard but not with Data Loader, Data Import Wizard cannot export records but Data Loader can, and mappings can be saved with Data Loader but not with Import Wizard.
How can you view a Dashboard?
The person selected under “View Dashboard As” determines what data is displayed and the “View All Data” permission allows choosing any user in an organization to be a running user or the dashboard.
When are Dashboards refreshed?
When a user clicks “Refresh” or when the dashboard refresh frequency can be set per dashboard
How do Sharing Rules work?
Rules can be created to grant access to groups of users for certain records based on record owner or criteria.
How does the Security Health Check work?
Security Health Check measures setting values in PW Policies, Network Access Config and Session Settings against baseline values and calculates a percentage score to indicate risk.
What can be customized for Standard Fields?
Field Labels, Field Help, Picklist Values, Auto Number Formatting.
Which type of Relationship do the records inherit the security and sharing settings of the parent record?
Master-Detail.
What can be used to send alerts regarding opportunities with large amounts?
Email alerts can be used to send a notification to selected users about an opportunity. The alert can be triggered from a workflow rule, flow or process and criteria defined.
What is a Quantity Product Schedule?
A Quantity schedule is when a Product quantity is delivered over time and allows tracking of shipping dates.
What is a Macro?
Users can run macros to complete repetitive tasks - selecting an email template, sending an email to a customer, updating the case status - all in a single click.
How can duplicate Leads be identified and managed?
Using the “Find Duplicates” button, fields can be selected to search on, and up to 3 Leads can be merged from the search results.
What is a Lead Conversion?
A way to convert Leads to linked newly created or existing Contract, Account and Opportunity records.
What is a Campaign Hierarchy?
A way to link related campaigns in a hierarchy of up to 5 levels and unlimited siblings. Total fields e.g. total value of Opportunities for all campaigns in a hierarchy can be displayed.
Which type of case fields can be used for data category mapping?
Text and Picklist fields.
What can be used to search for articles in Lightning Experience?
Global Search and Knowledge Component.
When would Shared Activities be used?
When up to 50 contacts have to be related to one event or task, such as recording all of the people invited to a meeting.
What are repeating events called in Salesforce?
In Salesforce Classic, it is called recurring events. In Lightning Experience and Salesforce app, it is called event series.
What are the options for importing and exporting data?
Data Import Wizard, Data Loader, 3rd Party Tools for Integration, Export from Reports, Data Export Service.
What can be done with the Mass Transfer Tool?
Accounts, Leads and Custom objects and some related data can be transferred from one owner to another.
How do Validation Rules work?
A formula expression is defined on an object and checked before a record is created or edited and saved. If the formula returns true, an error message is displayed and the record is not saved.
What happens when loading records through a Data Import tool and the required fields are blank or not matched?
Those records fail to load.
What are the different formats of reports?
Tabular, matrix, summary and joined.
What impact does the sharing model have when running reports?
Security and sharing model settings are applied when running a report so users will only see data they have access to.
What are Validation Rules?
They verify that the data a user enters in a record meets the standards you specify before the user can save the record. It can contain a formula or expression that evaluates the data in one or more fields and returns a value of “True” or “False”.
