Overthrew the Mongols in the 13th century. Hongwu began the dynasty and during the period built the Forbidden City and encouraged Confucianism. Fell to the Manchus in the 16th century.

With low taxes China’s economy declined and lots of rebellions started causing the downfall of China.
Trade Routes
The Mongols made trade routes safer and sent people on the Silk Roads for tribune, food, art, and culture. The also encouraged Maritime travels.
