They had spies everywhere, and were the only reason the Soviets made it past the Cold War.

People started blaming the czar for their problems. Lenin (leader of Bolsheviks) had arrested and executed the Romanov’s. Bolsheviks took control over the gov’t and economy, and renamed it the USSR.

He believes Ukraine has always been a part of Russia, and just wants land just because

He has gained a lot of land, but many international organizations are supporting Ukraine

NATO has provided Ukraine with a lot of support, and politcal ties with Russia have always had tension.
What is Crimea, when was it annexed and why was it important?
Crimea is a peninsula in Eastern Europe, it was annexed Feb 20, 2014. This annexation gave Putin the ‘confidence’ and desire to annex other lands.
