A

o The Phoenix, which means “bright-colored”, is a large bird sacred to the sun god “Ra”. The Phoenix lives in Arabia (land of the sun) and is worshipped especially in Heliopolis. There is only one Phoenix that lives at a time, they live for 500 years and are only male. Its nest is made of twigs from spice trees and myrrh. The nest is engulfed in its flame and the Phoenix is engulfed in its own flame and a new Phoenix is born. The cycle begins again.
