The weight of the new mixture is the combination of the 2 substances together. It stays the same

The color changes, has starch, or repels

When a new substance is formed

The color changes, different mass, doesn’t go back to its original state
What is a physical reaction/change?
ice - water - steam
solid - liquid - gas
chocolate - melted chocolate
What are indicators that a physical change has happened? It typically changes the appearance of a substance/object.
Changed the appearance of a substance/object, it can go back to its original state
What can we say about the properties of the new mixture if there is no chemical change?
It’s a physical change
