If a move requires you to use any active taxiways or runways, what must the director do?
Radio tower and state who you are, your route of movement, and request permission to proceed.
After tower gives you permission, confirm route of movement and proceed.
After crossing all active taxiways or runways, radio back to tower stating that your are clear of all taxiways and runways.
In case of tow bar separation, what must be done?
Walkers must give 2 short whistle blast

What is the notable difference between APS-115 and APS-137?
The APS-137 radar has the r2d2 looking antenna in the belly of the aircraft
Who can authorize aircraft turns?
The MO can authorize all turns, but if the mo is not present then the OIC.

On B&B turn where would the B&B cart be positioned?
Outboard and aft of the engine being washed
When can the cart operators enter the safety diamond during a B&B turn?
Only when the propellers have come to a complete stop.
During a water sep bad turn, how many personnel should be present?
Min. 10 ppl Yellow Ame cdi QA rep 2 fwd observers Fe Aft observer Observer in tacco 2 se ops
What tools are allowed to go into the apu compartment with the ame cdi?
Inspection tools which consist of a flash light and a mirror
What tool will the QA rep have during a water sep bag turn?
QA will have communication with the flight station through a headset and a 75 ft cord into the nose wheel well
How should the ame cdi and ame cdi in training (if any) approach the apu compartment?
They shall approach the apu compartment from the port side, walking from the lineman to the nose of the aircraft and proceed to exit the same way upon signal from the lineman.
During a man on the stand turn, how many personnel are required to be present?
8 or 9 personnel 2 Forward observer Fe Observer at tacco or navcom station Aft observer QA rep Yellow Mech cdi and mech cdi in training
Standard A/C move procedures
- Brief
- check area for hazards
- raise the ladder
- attach the buddah
- check brakes
- brakes on
- chocks out
- brakes off
- move a/c to desired spot
- brakes on
- chocks in
- detach buddah
- lower ladder
What are the 2 methods of fueling and aircraft?
Center point pressure fueling and over wing gravity feed
How long can landing lights be used without cooling aircraft?
30 sec
When are chocks used for hi-power turns?
When the pilot is not available
How are chocks placed for hi-power turns?
Chocks are installed and strapped in place on both main mounts
What position are the flaps in for B&B turns?
Flaps shall be in the UP position
How are the b4 stands positioned for the man on the stand turns?
B4 stand shall be positioned on each side of the engine ensuring proper clearance is maintained from the propeller. Ensure that the stands do not extend forward of the cowling door opening.
When inspecting b4 stand tow bar for correct safety wire installation what precautions must be followed?
Ensure the safety wire is not wrapped around the stand lifting mechanism bar. If it is safety wire may separate upon adjustment of platform height, which could allow the tow bar to fall into the prop arc.
In case of light drizzling precipitation of during the hours of darkness who can authorize a man-on-the-stand-turn?
The mo or the OIC if the mo is not present
Can you perform man on the stand turns during inclement weather?
