Q

Who is Daniel Shays and what was Shay’s Rebellion?

A

Daniel Shays was a farmer and rebel. What prompted his calls for the rebellion was that he had loans that were borrowed to all the citizens. Then, after the war, he was in debt and couldn’t pay it off in time. The government was threatening and had taken away his farms which made him angry since they hadn’t even given him his money from the service in the war. He prepares 2000 farmers in a similar situation to rebel against the Massachusetts government.
