TAYO project research team already developed a 5 degree-of- freedom rehabilitation device with a range of motions during the initial R&D Phase. In 2020, safety tests, performance evaluation and initial clinical trials were already initiated

IT IS PARTLY IN R&D ON HEALTH THAT Aims to develop and support robotic exoskeleton prototype device to support physical rehabilitation for Filipino patients. The scope of the project includes the prototyping of the device, ensuring its safety through clinical trials, and finally rolling in the market. This can be used by both children and adults. Currently, the 3 Ginhawa prototypes have been completed and have undergone bench testing using the test lungs and other ventilator testing machines

GINHAWA OR RELIEFVENT

IT IS PARTLY IN R&D ON HEALTH THAT Herbal medicines are being studied as adjunctive treatment to COVID 19. DOST is currently working to determine whether Lagundi and Tawa-tawa can provide symtpmatic relief for COVID-19 patients and ultimately determine whether these can be added to the current standard of treatment to decrease the number of patients who progress from mild disease to moderate or severe disease.

HERBAL MEDICNES & RESEARCH ON VIRGIN COCONUT OIL (VCO)

IT IS PARTLY IN R&D ON HEALTH THAT It is social development innocation which addresses the problem of malnutirtion among 6 months to below 3 years old children. It is composed oftwo components. The 1st component focuseson the supply of the Complementary food through the technology transfer component which is established through the putting up of a complementary food production facilities (CFPF) in various regions in the Philippines. 2nd component focuses On advocacy known as the DOST PINOy interventions which stands for (Package for the Improvement of Nutrition of Young Childred). The package also includes the feeding of rice-mongo based complementary foods (CF) to the children for 120 days and nutrition education of mothers and caregivers

The facility is envisioned to be the key partner of the local handloom weavers, textile dyeing facilities, textile manufacturers, fashion designers, and artists in fully penetrating the global market of naturally dyed products

THIS IS THE PART OF THE R&D ON SPACE TECHNOLOGY WHEREDIWATA 1 - first microsatellite owned by the Philippine government involving Filipino engineers in its development. The satellite is intended to observe the Earth, monitorclimate change, and develop human resources. On May 12, 2020; Diawat 1, the Philippines1 firsts microsatellite, has ended its four year in Earth orbit (since March 2016). The microsatellite captured more than 17,000 images of the Philippines, covering 38% of the country`s land area. DIWATA 2 - was successfully deployed into 600 km SSO orbit on 29 October 2018 and carries the same optical cameras for scientific earth observation found in Diwata 11. It has since captured 32, 256 images around the world, 19,439 of which of the Philippines. 82.01% of the Philippine geographic area was covered by Diwata 2.

THIS IS THE PART OF THE R&D ON SPACE TECHNOLOGY WHERE MAYA 1 - one of the 3 CubeSat under the 2nd joint Global Multi-Nation Birds Project. it was launched last June 29, 2018 and after 2 years and 4 months of successfully completing its mission, MAYA 1 flew back into the Earth`s atmosphere on November 23, 2020. MAYA 2 - had been recently completed and turned over to JapanAerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) on September 24, 2020.
