Is the process of sperm formation.
Spermatogenesis
These are glands that secrete a thick, yellow substance to nourish the sperm cells.
Seminal Vesicles
This secretes a thick fluid that aids the motility of the sperm.
Is located under the bladder and surrounds the end of the urethra in the region where the vas deferens enters the urethra.
Prostate gland
Is the inner layer of the uterus, and consists of specialized epithelial mucosa that is rich in blood vessels.
Endometrium
aka “the body of the uterus”.
The Corpus
Is the thin outer membrane that encloses the embryo.
The Chorion
is a fluid-filled sac containing a single ovum (egg). There are thousands of these sacs on the inside surface of the ovaries.
A Follicle
Lasts approximately 40 weeks. It is the period of development of the baby in the mother’s uterus.
Gestation
Is the greenish material that collects in the intestine of a fetus and forms the first stools of a newborn.
Meconium
aka “cephalic presentation”. Describes when the baby is coming head first. The head can be seen in the vaginal opening.
