Granular layer, 3-5 layers flattened keratinocytes, dying cells. Can be observed
Stratum Spinosum
Prickle cell layer, contains 8-10 rows of cells. Lipid and protein synthesis.
Describe Stratum Basale
Single layer of cells, cells divide to form keratinocytes. Other types of cells; colour, immunity and touch!
