   Structural, contractile cells that produce vasoactive substances that help control blood flow.
2. Capillary endothelial cells
   Part of the glomerular filtration barrier. Sinusoidal and contribute to GBM production
3. Podocytes
   Part of the glomerular filtration barrier. Form slit diaphragms and contribute to GBM formation.
4. Parietal epithelium
   Lines the interior of Bowman’s capsule and contains a podocyte progenitor population.
