Decreases length of stay in hospital
No need to stimulate home environment, patient-is already in it
Reduces dependence on formal care packages

What does rehabilitation involve?
Encourage- improves confidence and motivation
Practice- increases strength, stamina, confidence
Allos- reduces dependence and builds cinfidence
Allow- allow time
Try- try new ways of doing things, new techniques or aids
Use aids/gadgets (if no safe alternative)
Avoid- avoid helping unnecessarily (encourage And prompt as required)
