contralateral homonymous hemianopia b/l ------ propagonsia visual agnosia dyslexia topographical disorientation memory deficits
posterior cerebral artery syndrome ( central territory)
contralateral hemiplegia thalamic syndrome ( constant burning pain with intermittent sharp pain) pain or spasm- temp, touch, prick , loud noise and bright light) webers syndrome ( ipsilateral oculomotor nerve palsy and contralateral hemiplegia) cortical blindness ( problem in bimanual task)
posterior inferior cerebral artery / wallenberg syndrome / lateral medullary syndrome
ipsilateral sensory loss on face
ipsilateral ataxic hemiplegia
horners syndrome ( ptosis, miosis, anhydrosis, vertigo, nausea, vomiting, nystagmus)
contralateral sensory loss in 50% of body
basillar artery / locked in syndrome
quadriplegia
b/l caranial nerve palsy sparing upward gaze
antigravity muscles
scapular retractors, shoulder depressors
shoulder IR elbow flexors
pronators wrist and finger flexors
pelvic retractors hip adductors
hip IR hip and knee extensors
plantarflexors foot supinators
toe flexors
neck and trunk side flexors
anterior cerebral artery syndrome
lower limbs more involved
- contralateral hemiplegia
- contralateral hemi sensory loss
- apraxia
- urinary incontinence
- personality disorders
- behavioural issues
- loss of bimanual task
