Stroke Flashcards

1
Q

What is spasticity?

A

a motor disorder characterised by velocity-dependent increase in tonic stretch reflexes with exaggerated tendon jerks, resulting from hyper-excitability of the stretch reflex, as one component of the upper motoneuron syndrome

Q

What happens when a stroke that damages motor cortical pathways?

Q

What is something that can occur in recovery of stroke?
