Strict liability offences are where only the actus reus needs to be proved and liability is imposed without fault on the part of the defendant
Minor regulatory offences such as food hygeine, parking offences and polluting the enviroment
These require proof of actus reus but are not concerned with whether the actus reus is voluntary.
