means put on stage. everything visible on the frame (subject, lights, objects, action, etc)
sequence
expressive unit of editing multiple shots that can be designed to make many points
montage
derived from accumulation of information of various shots in an editing sequence
juxtaposition
two or more shots next to each other which highlights a contrast between each shot
previsualization
images/editing that both need to be considered when devising visual strategy
scene
dramatic unit when action continues within a single location. many shots grabs the audiences attention
