7 Steps for Good Scene Design
Step 1: Identify what the overall scene is about. It should be in one sentence in an active verb.
Protagonist meets her a tall dark handsome man at the laundry and makes connection with him.
Step 2: How does the character’s emotion changes because of the scene
Sad and lonely to Happy and making connection
Step 3: What is the inciting incident of the scene
For example - A handsome man walks into the laundry mat
Step 4: What complications does the protagonist goes through
Protagonist wants to talk to the handsome man but is having self doubts
Step 5: What is the turning point
A maintenance guy comes between them on purpose which pushes the handsome man further away from the protagonist.
Step 6: What is the climax
The protagonist moves closer to the handsome man and offers to help
Step 7: What is the resolution
The handsome man gives his phone number to stay in touch
