A
Seperately, our of the reach of children, out of view and in a secure room, wrack or cabinet approved by your arms officer.

A
Immediately on return home from shooting or camp

What do you need to do when cleaning your firearm?
A
- Clean barrel with rod, cleaning patches and solvent
- insert cleaning rod from chamber end of the bore to avoid damaging muzzle
- push an oily patch through the barrel
- clean the action and outside of firearm
- wipe all parts with a lightly oiled rag

A
- Be sure there is no ammunition in the firearm
- Point the muzzle in a safe direction at all times
- Cock the action
- Apply the safety catch
- Check the firearm cannot be fired ( Do this by pulling the trigger several times )

What is consider pointing a firearm in an unsafe direction?
A
It depends on where you are. Remember that bullets can go through walls and ceilings. Never point a firearm at anyone else or yourself to avoid unintentional fire damage.
