Bringing my vehicle close to and parallel to the kerb taking care not to damage the wheels or scrub the tyres and bringing the vehicle smoothly to a halt.
Applying parking brake,
gear lever into neutral
And feet clear of pedals

SP3-auxiliaries

Switching off all auxiliaries

SP4-mirrors engine seatbelt

Answer 4

Checking all 3 mirrors reveals that it is safe to switch off the engine and to select a suitable parking gear of 1 and to release and stow away seat belts, taking care not to strike the glass or door pillars.

SP5-shoulders and exit

Carrying out a deep left shoulder check
A deep right shoulder check
And I can now confirm that it is safe for me to leave the vehicle.
