Stomach And Small Intestine Flashcards
Stomach bed means;
Posterior relation of Stomach,
Stomach bed formed by 7 Structures
Stomach bed Structures;
- Left crux of Diaphragm
- Pancrease (except tail)
- Splenic Artery
- Left supra renal gland
- Left kidney
- Transverse mesocolon
- Spleen
Arterial supply of stomach;
On lesser curvature;
- Right gastric artery
- Left Gastric artery
On greater curvature;
- Left gastroepiploic artery
- Right gastroepiploic artery
- Short gastric artery
Left gastric artery is a branch of
Celiac trunk
Right gastric artery is a branch of
Common hepatic artery
Right gastroepiploic artery is a branch of
Gastroduodenal artery
Left gastroepiploic artery is a branch of
Splenic artery
Branch from the Splenic artery to the fundus of stomach is
Short gastric artery
Left Gastroepiploic vein and Short gastric vein drains into
Splenic Vein
Left and Right Gastric Vein drains into
Portal vein
Left gastric vein and Right gastric vein are direct tributaries of Portal vein
Right Gastroepiploic vein drains into
Superior mesentric vein
Superior mesentric vein and Splenic vein joins together to form
Portal vein
Division of Stomach into 4 areas for Lymphatic Drainage;
First divide the stomach into Right 2/3rd and Left 1/3rd
Then into Four areas
1 - Right upper 2/3rd
4 - Right lower 1/3rd
2 - Left lower 2/3rd
3 - Left upper 1/3rd
Lymphoma from the Area 1 goes to
Left gastric nodes
Lymph from the Area 2 goes to
Right Gastroepiploic nodes and Pyloric node
Lymph from area 2 drains into
Pancreaticosplenic nodes
Lymph from area 4 drains into
i.e; lesser curvature and accompanying pyloric part drains into
Right gastric nodes and Hepatic nodes
All the Lymph nodes draining from stomach will finally drain into
Celiac nodes
Sympathetic Fibres to Stomach are given by
Greater splanchnic nerve (T5 - T9)
It also carries the Pain fibres
