1) Live Simply - only cater to basic needs, avoid luxury
2) Reason over Emotion
3) Apatheia - ‘tranquillity’ by removing desire and maintaining inner peace, regardless of ext. circumstance/passions
4) Arete/Virtus - only true good = virtue, it is self-sufficient for happiness
5) The Stoic God - A rational force governing the Universe, not trad God
6) Equality of Virtue - both men and women can be virtuous + wise
