Quickly return to stable level of happiness after positive or negative events.
What is negative visualization?
Imagining you don’t have people or things in your life, to help you appreciate what you have.
Last day meditation
Recognize that this could be the last time you have any given experience, and treat it that way.
Am I living the dream life?
Yes. Billions of people in the world dream of having food, shelter, health, love, and the material possessions we have.
What is trans-life meditation?
Reflect on my life in the same way others who may dream of this life, and think about the situation they are in.
What is prospective restrospection?
Reflect on my life today in the way I might reflect on it with nostalgia in the future, and realize how lucky we are right now.
How do you build up resilience?
Intentionally put yourself in uncomfortable, challenging situations, places you can fail.
Silver linings
Find the good outcomes, even in seemingly bad situations.
Bedtime meditation
Reflect on the choices and behaviors of the day. What I did well, what I didn’t do well.
Framing
Reframe situations to change perspective. Realize that different circumstances would change my perception of the experience
What’s the stoic test strategy?
Treat setbacks as tests from stoic gods. Grade yourself on ability to stay calm, welcome the setback, and focus on the workarounds that improve and prevent the situation.
How to recapture childhood awe?
Understand the complexity, beauty and wonder of nature, life and humans efforts. Appreciate that it could be different.
