Stirred Cocktail
Fill a 12 oz shaker glass 2/3 full with ice,
put the smallest and less substantial ingredients in first,
stir very well,
strain the drink into serving glass,
garnish if necessary
Martini
1 part dry vermouth, 5 parts gin, garnish with two olives.
Dry Martini
1 part dry vermouth, 10 parts gin, garnish with two olives.
Extra-Dry Martini
Splash of vermouth, 3 oz gin, garnish with two olives.
Extra-Extra-Dry Martini
3 oz gin, garnish with two olives.
Fifty-Fifty Martini
1 shot dry vermouth, 1 shot gin, garnish with two olives.
Gibson
1/2 oz dry vermouth, 2 1/2 oz gin, garnish with cocktail onions.
Vodka Martini
1/2 oz dry vermouth, 2 1/2 oz vodka
Tequini or Tequila Martini
1/2 oz dry vermouth, 2 1/2 tequila
Black Martini
1 shot gin or vodka, 1 shot blackberry brandy or black raspberry liqueur
Cosmopolitan
1/2 oz triple sec, 1/2 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz cranberry juice, 2 oz vodka, garnish with a lime
Saketini
1/2 oz sake, 2 1/2 oz gin, garnish with lemon twist or olives.
Manhattan
1/2 oz sweet vermouth, 2 1/2 oz blended whiskey, garnish with a cherry.
Dry Manhattan
1/2 oz dry vermouth, 2 1/2 oz blended whiskey
Perfect Manhattan
1/4 oz sweet vermouth, 1/4 oz dry vermouth, 2 1/2 oz whiskey.
Latin Manhattan
1 oz rum, 1 oz dry vermouth, 1 oz sweet vermouth, dash bitters, garnish with a lemon twist.
Gimlet
1 oz Rose’s Lime Juice, 2 oz gin, lime wedge garnish
Vodka Gimlet
1 oz Rose’s Lime Juice, 2 oz vodka, lime wedge garnish.
Stinger
1 shot brandy, 1/2 oz creme de menthe
Old Fashioned
1/2 tsp fine grained sugar, 1-2 dashes bitters, handful of ice cubes, 2 1/2 oz whiskey, splash of water or soda water, stir well, cherry, orange slice, lemon twist garnish.
