Objective. Redness Swelling Odorless Purlant discharge Pain on palpation
Diagnostic test:
Nonpregnant high risk = annual screening
Pregnant =HBV,HIV, and syphilis
Cervical cancer screening @21
Men engaging in high-risk behavior screened for HIV and syphilis
*HIV 15-65
Microscopy, culture, nuclecic acid amplification testing (NAAT)
Management:
Prevention ABX Antivirals Education sexual partners to be treated 60 days for chalimida and gorrona Expedited partner therapy
Flu and referral
Retest if symptoms persist
If compliance is an issue → treat in office
* Required reporting for HIV, AIDS, syphilis, gonorrhea, chancroid and chalmydia
