Stereo Flashcards
1
Q
What assumptions are often used in stereo imaging?
A
Identical focal lengths
Two cameras have parallel optical axes
The two cameras are aligned so disparities always occur in the same row of the images
2
Q
What is the equation for finding the distance of an objet with two cameras, and what do we need to know?
A
Z = fB / (xL - xR)
Need to know physical size of pixels
3
Q
What do you have to be careful to do with positions of calculated objects in stereo?
A
Make sure the origin is correct, so:
x’ = image x location - half image size in x
y’ = half image size in y - image y location
