Fa Lap
Sweep foot forward, tapping ball only, then bring ball down for a snap hit. Similar to shuffle, but move ends with ball on ground.
Ball Change
Quick two-step to change the weight from one foot to another. Usually on balls of feet.
Maxi Ford
Jump, shuf-fle, hop toe
Jump onto right ball, shuffle left foot, hop onto left ball, tap with right toe behind left leg
Irish
Shuf-fle hop step
Shuffle right foot, hop on left ball, step on right ball
Shuffle
Sweep one foot forward and backward, striking the ball only each pass. Move ends with foot in air.
Step
Tap ball of foot onto ground. Heel usually stays in air.
Stomp
Full foot (heel and ball) strikes the ground, then lifts back up. Move ends with foot in air.
Stamp
Strike full foot (heel and ball) firmly into ground, then keep it there. Usually intended to be noisy.
Scuff
Sweep the heel forward, making a forceful hit, then follow through into the air. Move ends with foot in air.
Spank
Sweep foot fully backward, striking the ball only on the ground, making a forceful sound. Move ends with foot in air.
Dig
Heel only, strike the ground and leave it there. Move ends with heel on ground.
Heel
Tap heel only on the ground. Usually ends with heel on ground.
Toe
Tap the toe on the ground. Move ends with toe on ground, usually
Chug
Short half-jump forward, both feet, all heels/toes. Not about distance or height, just about the motion.
Hop
A short jump, usually onto one foot. Usually ends on the ball of one foot with the other foot in the air.
