A
Fry and RTÉ were under criminal investigation for blasphemy under the 2009 Defamation Act. This case was later dropped.

In 2015 he was interviewed by Gay Byrne on the programme ‘The Meaning of Life’. He accused God of gifting us a world of injustice and pain. Calling god a maniac, totally selfish and a monster not deserving of respect
