compost bins
Compost bins and compost anything biodegradable and separate out anything like hard metals that can be repurposed and put into a new product - stops things being discarded once used that separate material
self powered tech
Self-powered technology that can be woven or integrated into products that are worn or used outside, so they can be constantly recharged, refuelled, etc as they’re being used - prevents quickly running out
Universal basic income
Universal basic income (UBI) where the government pays every citizen a fixed salary every month - helps give people a buffer to stay home (which helps with pollution) and also allows people to afford new, cleaner technology
Repurpose the old-style suction tubes
Repurpose the old-style suction tubes (like used to exist in offices, banks, etc) and update the technology to allow long-range transfer of products and items in a relative energy-free way; under the ground would increase privacy and security, too
Hologram application
Hologram application: people like teachers could teach through hologram; sports events conducted via hologram; shopping and trying things on, through hologram, etc
A city planning approach
A city planning approach, where whole community hubs are built as large residences (with communal areas and open green spaces) where people live in large, connected groups rather than in private, individual residences (addressing some of the transport issues at the same time as the social isolation)
Hormone regulation
Wearable tech (eg wristbands) that monitor hormone levels eg adrenaline, dopamine, cortisol etc. These affect mood and depression, and can monitor how people are responding to large life changes caused by taking steps to combat human environmental impact (eg isolation, changing habits, giving up things)
