Describe the main auscultatory findings in mitral stenosis.
A
- Opening snap, heard mid-diastole (120ms in mild MS), best at apex with diaphragm
- Low pitched rumbling mid-diastolic decrescendo murmur (longer the murmur, the more severe the MS)
