Longer sticks are lower in pitch, shorter sticks are higher in pitch.
Smaller sticks are hit on the side of the tamboo bamboo to produce different rhythms and sounds as well.

Music bands that formed after hand drums and tamboo bamboo were banned by the government. Trinis took any metal objects they could find to produce sounds and make music.
