Chlamydia symptoms
Men; clear discharge, mild discomfort of urination
Woman; abnormal vaginal discharge, burning sensation while urinating, 75% of women are asymptomatic

Men: urine sample
Woman: cell sample from cervix or urine sample
Chlamydia treatments and complications
Curable with antibiotics
If not treated can lead to urethral damage, pelvic inflammatory disease, problems w: pregnancy and newborn can have it

Causes genital warts around the urethral opening of the penis, vagina, cervix, mouth, throat
Single most important risk factor for cervical or penile cancer
Treatment: acid, lazar, cryotherapy for wart removal (freezing off)- doesn’t get rid of std only warts

No cure, but drug that can reduce reoccurring of symptoms
Complications: meningitis, narrowing urethra due to scarring, increased risk of HIV, child can have it

Symptoms: chancres- round, ulcer like lesion w/ hard raised edge resembling crater
Diagnosis: physical/ VDRL (blood test)
Treatment: antibiotics (10 days)

Can be transmitted non sexually
Symptoms:
women-discomfort w/ intercourse, itching, vaginal discharge (green yellow)
Men- burning after urination/ ejaculation, itching of urethra
What does it mean to be transmitted non sexually?
Can be on toilet seats, underwear, jeans
