What is the general duties of everyone in the workplace?
A
too maintain health and safety for employers and employees and managers of premises. The duties and responsibilities of self employed are pretty much the same as those of employees and employers.

What are the employers/self-employed responsibilities at work?
A
- provide a safe working environment
- provide safe equipment and systems of work
- provide information, instructions, training and supervision
- arrange for the safe storage, transport and use of articles and substances
- provide adequate welfare facilities for the staff
- provide suitable PPE, Respiratory protective equipment (RPE) to all workers
- take responsibility for the maintenance, storage and replacement of all PPE/RPE.
- Ensure equipment is checked and regular serviced

What are the responsibilities of the employees/self-employed at work?
A
- take reasonable care of their own health and safety
- take responsible care of other people who may be affected my work activities
- co-operate with their employer on health and safety
- no interfere with or misuse anything provided for their health, safety and welfare
- use provided PPE/RPE
- undertake training and instruction as required.
