What does 2-201 cover?
A
The statute of frauds…
A writing signed by a person against who enforcement is being sought is evidence of a contract.
General rule under this is a sale of goods for $500 or more should be in writing

A
- If $500 or more

- signed vs whom enforcement is sought.
- contain the quantity of the goods

2-201(2) Merchant Exception
A
Merchant exception:
- if the party later sends writing and the recipient has reason to know its contents it satisfies the requirement unless written notice of objection to its contents is given within 10days after receipt.

Other 2-201 Exceptions
A
- Specially manufactured goods
- party against whom enforcement is sought admits in his pleading
- with respect to goods for which £ has been made
