Ascribed status and Achieved Status
is beyond an individual’s control; it is not earned or chosen. - determined by an individual’s performance or effort.
Ascribed status
is a position that is earned or chosen and reflects a person’s skills, abilities, and efforts.
Achieved status
In some sense of the word or the other, every individual adorning a status has to play a role as if he were dramatizing it.

2 TYPES OF SOCIAL CONTROL
informal and formal
Family, friends, and colleagues are three types of people that exert informal social control, a type of social control that stems from the approval or disapproval of people we associate with and consider important.

This refers to organizations or systems that use strict and delineated rules, values, morals, and the like that we are commonly told or compelled to obey

deviance
Deviance is often divided into two types of activities:
includes criminal violation of formally- enacted laws. Examples of formal deviance include robbery, theft, rape, murder, and assault.

- refers to violations of informal social norms which are norms that have not been codified into law. Examples of informal deviance include picking one’s nose, belching loudly, or standing unnecessarily close to another person.

are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more. Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination.
