To refer to the ranking of individuals In society according to the differing amounts of prestige or respect given to different positions by other members of that group or society

A
A status given by birth or family background, which generally can’t be changed by individuals

A
Persons age. Sex. Ethic group.

What does achieved status refer to?
A
Any social position or position of prestige that has been achieved by an individual’s own efforts. Eg. Skilled education. Career success.
