Stats Flashcards
What are the Outlier calculation’s
lower outlier = Q1 - (1.5 * IQR)
higher outlier = Q3 + (1.5 * IQR)
lower outlier = mean - 2(Sx)
upper outlier = mean + 2(Sx)
variance formula
variance——> S^2 = Sxx/n-1
Sxx (sum of squares of the variable x.)
sum of x^2 - n*mean^2
Histogram mean calculation
mid class value * frequency = f Md.
Sum of (f Md.) / Sum of (frequency) = mean
Median of histogram workings
(Median X - class border of corresponding frequency )/(class width) =
(median of frequency - median frequency border/frequency class width) so then you rearrange for X
Ranked data median
(n + 1)/2
on ranked data if two rows have the same number, what do you do
then you give both the same rank but with an extra 0.5 to share the value of the next rank I think
mean calculation
sum of X/n
frequency density
frequency/class width = frequency density
what should be on the y axis
frequency density
