- An early stage (43% diagnosed at stage I or II).
- Around 1 in 5 (21%) females have metastases (stage IV).

- White females with ovarian cancer range from 17.4 to 18.1 per 100,000.
- Asian females are significantly lower, ranging from 9.2 to 15.5 per 100,000
- Black females are also significantly lower, ranging from 6.6 to 12.1 per 100,000.

- 34.5% at 10 yrs
- 5 yr survival for ovarian cancer is highest in the youngest women and decreases with increasing age. 5 yr net survival ranges from 87% in 15-39 yrs old to 17% in 80-99 yrs old
