What is the purpose of descriptive statistics?
To organise the data into visible and easy to understand ways
What are inferential statistics?
Uses a small population in order for researchers to draw conclusions about a larger group
What is the main issue with inferential statistics?
Sampling Bias

Issues with the chosen sample of participants that makes them unrepresentative of a larger scope
What are statistics used to describe?
A sample of pps in research
What are parameters used to describe?
Describe entire populations

Mean, median and mode
How do you calculate the mean?
Add all the numbers together and divide by how many their are
How do you calculate the mode?
the digit that is most frequent
How do you calculate the median?
The middle number of all digits once placed into size order
