Total number of reported crime incidents in an area over a given period of time regardless of the number of perpetrators.
Crime Volume
Crimes which are serious in nature and which occur with sufficient frequency and regularity sych that they can serve as an index to the crime situation.
It can be classified into:
Crime against Person
Crime against Property
Index Crimes
Violation of special laws and other crimes such as;
Crime against moral and order
Crime against chastity
Crime against property
Non-Index Crime
Percentage of solved cases out of the total number of crime reported incidents handled by the police offices for a given period of time
Crime Solution Efficiency
Number of crime incidents in a given period of time for every 100,000 inhabitants in an area/place
Crime Rate
The average number of crime incidents occured per month for every 100,000 inhabitants in a certain area.
Average Monthly Crime Rate
The first edition of the country’s classification of crimes. It is a hieararchal classification where criminal offenses are allocated in categories that have a certain degree of similarity.
