What is Extreme Long Shot?
A panoramic view of an exterior location, photographed from a great distance.
What is a Medium Shot?
(Approximately) The Waist up
What is a Close-up?
A significant or important object, used largely to isolate a subject from the setting.
What is a High Angle?
Camera looks down on the subject.
What is a Low Angle?
Camera looks up at the subject used to give the figure a dominate and a powerful presence.
What is a Flat Angle?
Eye Level and on the same plane as the subject.
What is a Bird`s-Eye View?
Camera shows a scene from directly overhead. Puts the audience in a godlike position, looking down on the action.
What is a Canted Angle?
Camera is tilted to indicate imbalance, transition & instability.
What is a Point of View?
Shot that is taken from the perspective of a character in a sequential or moving image.
What is a Composition?
The placement of the elements.
What is a Shallow Focus?
Specific section of the visual is in sharp focus while other elements of composition remain blurred.
What is a Deep Focus?
Element of the background and foreground stays in focus.
What is Internal Framing?
A Frame (within the frame of the visual), such as a window or a doorway, limits the point of focus suggesting entrapment, protection, or isolation.
What is Mise-en-scene?
The putting on stage or placing into a scene.
What is Zolly?
It is when the camera lens zooms in on a point of focus, and the camera unit dollies backwards
What is a Long Shot?
It shows the whole object or human form and is normally planned to place in some connection to its environment.
What is Depth of Field?
Area of distance in which all items will be in allowable sharp focus.
