Performs reviews for solicitations for goods over &50K via open market requisitions (OMR) and approves delegation of purchasing authority
What does the Contract Management department do
Assists state agencies, higher educations institutions, Texas SmartBuy members, and contractors with:
Day-to-day contract management
Contract administration
Reporting requirement
Vendor performance issues related to statewide contracts
What does the Historically Underutilized Business Program do
Promotes equal business opportunities to remedy disparity in state procurement and contracting by:
Certifies Texas-based vendors as HUBS which includes minority
owned, woman owned, or service-disabled veteran owned
Contract developers or purchasers must make a good faith effort to
identify HUB subcontracting opportunities when the contract
value is $100,000 or greater
What does the Statewide Fleet, Travel, and Mail Department do
Manages the state vehicle reporting system
Provides travel services contracts - required for state agencies and available to TX Smartbuy members
Delivers and collects interagency mail for state agencies
