Q

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL SOVEREIGNTY

Why is this the similarity?

A

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL SOVEREIGNTY
EU membership undermines both types of sovereignty
Internal: EU law takes primacy above the sovereign Parliament
and the ECJ can strike down the sovereign Parliament’s Acts

External - EU law takes primacy (laws to protect a borders will be struck down, not compatible with Freedom of Movement, as a member of single market)
