Check the parking brake

Check doors for security, passengers do likewise and report back

Mind your feet in the back as I depress the clutch and adjust my seat for good access to hand and foot controls. Checking my head restraint. Passengers do likewise.

With the clutch still depressed, gear into neutral and start the engine. Now slowly release the clutch.

Selecting minor auxiliaries (telematics, airwave terminal 7665 side lights, heated rear screen, heating, and ventilation).

Adjust my mirror for a good view to the rear, down the near side and down the offside of the vehicle.

I have a normal instrument panel.

Carrying out a static brake test to ensure that there is pressure in the system and that it can be maintained, which it can. A moving brake test was carried out earlier the brakes were found to be working correctly and it is safe to continue my drive.
9.
I have control of the windows - keep your fingers clear, carry out a visual check and report back “window closed”.
10.
Selecting major auxiliaries (dipped headlights, washers and wipers, fog lights).

Locate, fit and check your seatbelts and report back.

I’m now ready to move off. Checking all three mirrors, it’s safe to select a moving off gear of 1. Deep left shoulder check, deep right shoulder check synchronise hand and foot movements and move off smoothly.
