What is our North Star’s name?
Polaris
Name the 5 circumpolar stars
Big Dipper, Little Dipper, bear, wife, and king.
Why does our North Star change every few thousand years?
Because the earth wobbles a little on its axis.
What is light pollution?
Light from things around you that makes faint stars in the sky not visible.
What is the equatorial line and how do we use it?
It divides the night sky into a northern hemisphere and a southern hemisphere.
What is the ecliptic line and how do we use it?
It is the zodiac constellation line, and divides the constellations up.
How do you figure out your birthday constellation and why do you have to wait to see it?
You use your birthday to figure out your constellation. You can’t see your birthday constellation on your birthday because the sun is in the way. You have to wait 6 months to see it.
