S Boots customers wanted items that could not be found.
T Needed to find the item.
A Searched the whole store for the item - extra mile.

S My friend who attends a different school was being bullied.
T Needed to prevent any further bullying.
A Reached out to the two bullies,
R They stopped, and my friend was able to regain his mental health.
Give me a time you made a choice with limited information.
S My friend reached out to me with a dis-functional PC.
T The aim was to trouble-shoot and get the pc to work again.
A I used my own initiative to trouble-shoot and find the root of the problem, the RAM.
R The pc was fixed for a fraction of the cost and my friend was extremely happy.
Give me a time you had to meet a deadline and the outcome of that.
S In year 12 I studied EPQ.
T To achieve a high grade by effectively time managing my EPQ alongside my subjects.
A Utilised Excel and created resources such as Gantt charts.
R Got an A.
Give me a time you had to solve a problem.
S Between the end of yr12 and mid-way through yr13 I did my Computer Science NEA.
T Program a solution that includes many complex data types and functions.
A Programmed Dijkstra;s A*, API, Heap sort, and communicated with the people around me.
R Got banded into the top band.
Give me a time where you were reliable in the face of difficulties.
S During lockdown I was a paperboy.
T Had to deliver papers every morning, regardless of others at my age staying in bed.
A Consistently delivered customers’ papers.
R Got man tips.
Required to follow strict rules and procedures.
S Customer came into Boots wanting a refund.
T Had to issue a refund.
A Had to follow the company policy,or customer has right to take legal action
R Customer was satisfied.
Important to not make a mistake.
S Mid-way through year 13 I had my Computer Science NEA.
T I was the first to present my project in the whole class.
A Went and confidently projected my project to the class.
R Got banded into the highest band, and was told by the moderator that it “looked as if I had done it before”.
Controlled a pressurised situation. + Can also be used for reliability.
S When I was 15 I worked night shifts at a Cafe.
T This involved me taking responsibility, regardless of being un-trained.
A I was on time for every shift and offered a great customer experience.
R Was praised and offered a bonus.
Conflict. SIMILAR TO STRICT RULES
S My current job is at Boots where we have frequent worker-customer alitcations.
T I had a customer raise her voice at me due to not being able to refund an item.
A Followed Boots rules and regulations.
R The situation de-escalated.
Leadership
S Was a student mentor for 2 students at the latter-end of year 12.
T Had to help them get back on track with their GCSE’s.
A I offered them mental and academic support.
R They are now yr12 Computer Science students.
Perseverance.
S At the end of yr12 I was behind my predicted grades, limiting my future opportunities.
T I was offered the opportunity for a retake with an extra 4 weeks of revision.
A I put my own funding into multiple revision sources and spent 4 hours a night revising.
R I got predicted an A*AB
Teamwork.
S I currently work at Boots.
T Every shift we are expected to offer a top quality customer experience with a team of 7.
A I ensure that I communicate with my coworkers to maximise efficiency.
R The department I worked in received an award for the best performing department in the country during the Christmas period.
Group (ONLINE)
S SLR in Yr 12 on ADT’s, where we were assigned groups for a presentation.
T We each had to do a section each.
A We ensured we clearly communicated online, to ensure that there were no overlaps.
R We got an A grade for the presentation
Communication
S EPQ in Year 12
T I did a presentation on a complicated topic (nuclear medicine)
A Presented to my class clearly, in order to ensure everyone understood. I moulded my speech towards the crowd.
R Got an A in EPQ. Was told I seemed like an experienced finance worker when doing my presentation - professionalism.
