‘Assonance’ means repetition of the same vowel sound. Again emphasises that they are in sync, on the same wavelength because they are literally making the same noises.

A

This links their lovemaking to literacy and something poetic, so the literacy words become more meaningful. ‘Verb’ suggests he is the active participant and ‘noun’ suggests she is still and being acted upon. ‘Dancing’ and well as literacy words suggests delicacy and elegance, and it is full of imagination and creativity.

A

‘Dreamed’ suggests imaginative and fanciful, showing the bed was where they could escape from reality. Her image of herself would be heightened if he had created her, because his work is so magical. She would prefer herself if she had been created by him. Also suggests her desire to be everything he wants, wants to make him happy.
