a process of lifelong learning which enables you to meet the prerequisite knowledge and skill levels that relate to your evolving scope of practice, maintaining competence in your scope of practice
Why is CPD important?

-maintain professional registration
What are HCPC registrant standards?
- maintain a continuous up to date record of CPD activities
- demonstrate that their CPD activities are a mixture of learning activities relevant to current or future practices
What are examples of CPD?
- notes and reflections on work based practices, use of equipment, resolution of issues, something new learned
- discussion with colleagues
- copies of records must not contain patient identifiable information
