How to get into a power off stall

A

Choose an altitude 1,500 feet AGL, fly clearing turns (two 90 degree turns), reduce throttle to idle, hold altitude while decelerating, add flaps to LDG, simulate a descent to landing, pitch up until you hear the stall warning horn, use rudder if needed

Recovery from power off stall

A

reduce angle of attack, advance throttle to max power, retract the first notch of flaps, establish a positive rate of climb, retract flaps all the way to neutral, return to cruise flight

How to get into a power on stall

A

Choose an altitude 1,500 feet AGL, fly clearing turns (two 90 degree turns), at Vr add full power, pitch up (18 degrees) until stall warning, use rudder pedals if needed

Power on stall recovery

A

add full power, pitch down to horizon level, adjust trim and rudder as necessary, get to a regular flight path
