Stalling + Spinning Flashcards
1
Q
Stall
A
Is a condition of flight which the AoA of the wings exceeds its critical / stalling angle
2
Q
Airflow around a stalled wing
A
When a wing is taken beyond stalling angle the airflow breaks away from the upper surface and as a result there is a large reduction in lift
3
Q
Basic stall speed
A
Is the IAS at which an a/c reaches its stall angle in straight and level flight while in the clean + power off config
4
Q
Relationship between the basic stall speed and the lift formula
A
