Haematoxylin and eosin

A

Haematoxylin: reacts like a basic dye with a purplish blue colour. Stains acidic or basophilics structures - cell nucleus (contains DNA and nucleoprotein), organelles that contain RNA (ribosomes and the rough endoplasmic reticulum)
